SUMMARY:Business Success Series with TED Talks speaker Tina Staley!
DESCRIPTION:How Kindness Can Help Your Business - Tina Staley\n\n\n\nBasically\, I will be addressing two of the many ways that businesses can benefit from increasing kindness in the workplace and the community. Research proves that when people benefit from or witness acts of kindness\, they "pay it forward." They do acts of kindness for others who were not originally involved\, and it multiples rapidly. I want to help them imagine the possibilities:\n\n \n\n\n	A kinder workplace leads to happier employees as it spreads\, which leads to more engaged employees which leads to increased productivity. Kinder employees will be better with difficult customers\, increasing their customer base and positive PR.\n	Engaging with or supporting the community outside of their business environment is an act of kindness\, one with positive repercussions for both.\n\n\n \n\nWe will go over the Action Steps for Kindness in an interactive format and discuss which ones would best fit their businesses and the goals of the chamber\, as well as how to implement them.\n\n\n\n\n\nTina Staley is a licensed clinical social worker with over 25 years experience in the field. Her background includes clinical experience in multiple aspects of mental health\, creating clinician-researcher partnerships for cancer care and improving quality of life in any situation\, including end-of-life. Her work in Colorado and Duke Medical Center was the subject of a recent film\, What Love Is\, shown World PBS. She is co-author of the book Living Fully\, Dying Well and presented at TEDxAsheville.\n\n\n\nThrough her work\, Tina discovered an overriding commonality to increased quality of life kindness received and kindness given. She created the Action Steps for Kindness\, which can be used by anyone\, in any moment and in any environment\, benefiting the individual\, those he or she interacts with and the community including organizations and businesses.
